Eighth and final set of notes from Derek Prince and his sermon Final Judgement Divided into eight blogs. Some people just like to read and I have found his sermons very helpful in my Christian walk.
In the beginning God created the heavens (plural) and earth (singular).
2 Corinthians 12:2 NKJV I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago–whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows–such a one was caught up to the third heaven.
Logic says that there cannot be a third heaven if there is not the first two.
Ephesians 4:9-10 NKJV (Now this, “He ascended”–what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
All the heavens. In English, it is not correct to use the word all in less than three of anything. That is the minimum.
This helps us to know so that when we pray, we do not give up when we don’t get an answer right away. Realize that there is an opposing kingdom between us and God. Daniel fasted and prayed for 3 weeks. He didn’t abstain from all foods. He only ate simple basic food, took no wine and, in the living Bible we see, no desserts. Daniel was earnestly seeking God. Nothing happened until Daniel prayed. The angel was sent with the answer to Daniel’s prayer when Daniel first started to pray. It took three weeks for the angel to arrive because on the way from God’s throne to Daniel’s presence on earth, he encountered satanic opposition. Daniel had to pray through. He had to hold on for 21 days before he got the answer (Daniel 10:1-11-1).

Father God,
How awesome You are. Thank You for Your care, love, concern and provision. You have supplied us with so many blessings. We dare not take any of them for granted. We thank You for our very life and all the things You have supplied us with. May we use our time and talents to bring glory to Your name. Thank You for the messages from Derek Prince. They have been so helpful in our walk with You. May we all realize that we may not always get our answer right away, but that doesn’t mean You didn’t hear or aren’t responding. We just have to be patient and have faith. Your way is always the best way and Your timing is always perfect. We love You and submit to Your great will for our lives. Praying all things always in Jesus’ name. Amen.

“This helps us to know so that when we pray, we do not give up when we don’t get an answer right away.” Yes, sometimes the answer is “Wait.” Other times it is “No” or “No, not yet.” The answer is there… we just have to know how to be discerning. It’s a life long process, isn’t it?
