In Revelation chapters two and three when Jesus is talking to the churches He gives praise for the things they were doing right, correction for the things they were doing wrong, warning of judgement and promises to those who overcome.
Romans 12:21 NKJV Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
We have two choices. Good or evil and with that comes whether we will be overcomers or not. There is no middle ground with the Lord. We know what He says to those who aren’t cold or hot, to the lukewarm He will spew them out of His mouth (Revelation 3:16).
2 Timothy 2:11-12 NKJV This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him.
12 If we endure, We shall also reign with Him.
If we deny Him, He also will deny us.
Revelation 12:11 NKJV And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
Revelation 21:7 NKJV He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
We thank thee for thy great love even in judgement. You are righteous and fair. Please speak to our hearts if there is anything that we are doing that is wrong. So many times we get carried away with the situation we are in, or even with the popular opinion at the time. Help us as we navigate this life to put our selfish ways completely off. We need Your help for this world makes things so appealing and we get lost in our flesh and its attitudes sometimes too. Forgive us for failing You in any way. We want to be overcomers! Lord, we know You have said in Your word that many will think they are going to Heaven, but You will say “depart from Me, I know ye not (Matthew 7:22-23).” This is serious business here. May we never take our walk with You lightly. This is no time for any of us to ‘play church.’ In the end You will weed out the weeds from the wheat (Matthew 13:24-43). May our heart’s desire be to please You in all things and to come to You immediately with any of our wrong doings. We plead the blood of Jesus over our lives, homes, marriages, children and careers. You are our Lord. Help us to walk in Your anointing. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
