Sleep in Peace

Psalm 4:8 KJV  I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

Proverbs 3:24 KJV When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

How many of us realize that God promises us peace, safety and sweet sleep? If you are having any issues with sleeping, please bring it to the Lord in prayer. Claim His word and His promises over your sleep. Copy these scriptures on note cards, place them on your bedside table and speak them over your rest.

Psalm 127:2 KJV It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Pray with me please.

Father God,

Thank You for the rest that You promise us. We claim the promises of Yours in the above scriptures over our sleep. You are our God and we praise You for how You created us. You are perfect and You have given us everything that we need to live a happy and healthy life. Guard us in our sleep and let it be productive, in that our bodies get exactly the amount of rest that You have created us to have. We love You, Lord, and we are just so thankful for Your promises. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
