My sister’s pastor said in his sermon a few weeks ago that when someone asks you to give them 5, you say these 5 points.
- Wait faithfully. Rise and thank God for food (Matthew 14:19), salvation (1 Peter 1:3-5) and also for everything we have (Ephesians 5:20).
- Pray expectantly (Hebrews 4:16).
- Speak kindly (Ephesians 4:29).
- Forgive frequently (Ephesians 4:32).
- Bring every area of our life into the arena of worship (2 Corinthians 10:5 & Psalm 96:9).
I thought those were five good things to remember to give to anyone who says Gimme 5! You can use them too, whenever someone says gimme 5 just give them those 5 things.
Father God,
How we love You. Thank You for pastors and the wisdom that You supply them with. We ask Your blessing upon pastor Tony as he faithfully serves You and is ministering to more people than probably even he realizes. We ask that we would remember this encouraging thing and maybe when we see some brother or sister down we could lift them up with it. Maybe if someone even asks us to give them 5, we can start this conversation about giving 5 and get Your name into the conversation. Our time is short on this earth and we ask for Your wisdom and guidance in every situation and with all of our loved ones at all times. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Thank You for all that You have done, will do and are doing in each of Your children’s lives. Continue drawing us all closer to Your side and we will give You all the praise. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
If you do not know Jesus but would like to know more about Him, including how you can be saved, please read the following blog titled, You Never Let Us Go. God bless. https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/01/07/you-never-let-us-go/
I like what the five points. Thanks for sharing.
