Exodus 3:14-15 KJV And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Yahweh is the Hebrew name for God meaning I Am, The Self-Existent One. I Am. He was. He is. He always has been and always will be. He is the Self-Existent One with no beginning and no end. Yahweh: I Am, The Self-Existent One God replied to Moses, “I am That I am.”
God is that He is. He is all powerful, all knowing, supreme, ruler over everything. Our God is so many different things, there is no way to limit Him to one name. That is why I believe in Hebrew they had so many different names to express His personality and His divine nature. What a statement. God said to Moses, say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. Our God, the Great I Am. Whatever you made need, He is.
Yahweh, the Self-Existent One,
We praise You for Who You are and for what You are doing in our lives. You are outside of time. There is no limit to You. How can we even begin to imagine Your greatness? There is no way to completely grasp the greatness with which You are. In what we do know, Lord, we lift up Your name. We say You are worthy of all praise. Help us to realize that we are fully known and deeply loved by You. That is so powerful. The God who is Self- Existent and above all others, knows us by name and loves us! May we dwell on that fact today. Encourage us to do better and to be better for we are children of the most High God and whatever we have need of, You are. Thank You for opening our eyes to the truth of Who You are today. You are the great I Am and there is no other like You. We love You and pray always in Jesus’ name. Amen.
