God Sees Us

El Roi is the Hebrew name for God meaning the God who sees me.

Pronouncing The Name: El raw-EE

Genesis 16:13 NKJV Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”

This is the only time that this name of God is recorded in the Bible, but there is so much significance here. He is the God-Who-SeesMe. He saw Hagar in her trouble and he sees you and me. He cared about her and He cares about You and me. There is not a hair on our head that isn’t numbered (Luke 12:7). He knows everything about us and He loves us right where we are.

2 Chronicles 16:9 NKJV For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”

Psalm 121:3 NKJV He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.

Psalm 121:5-8 NKJV The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

Pray with me please.

Father God, El Roi,

We thank You that You are the God who sees us. You know each individual by name and You have great plans for us. You know what each person is capable of doing for You created us! You know where we go and what we say. Thank You that You are always there for us to rescue us when we are in any sort of trouble. May we remember that You see everything and live accordingly. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on You and not on the things that are going on around us. Fill us with more of Your Spirit so that we can accomplish great things for Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

  1. Good afternoon, {{{Donna}}} ❤ I pray to God with you, "Thank You that You are always there for us to rescue us when we are in any sort of trouble." May God rescue our choir director. She fell and dislocated her shoulder – – – and can't play piano or direct right now. "Jesus, please heal Fran's shoulder quickly!"
