Yahweh Nissi is Hebrew for the Lord Is My Banner.
Pronouncing The Name: yah-WEH-nis-SEE
Exodus 17:15 NKJV And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner
Ancient armies carried banners when they went to battle. They were used to identify the ideals of a nation of people. Today’s flags are like banners. They are lifted high where we can be reminded of security, hope, and freedom. The Lord is all of those things to His children. He is our security. He is our hope. He is our freedom. What a wonderful reminder to us as we claim His banner over us when we pray to Him. Our God is so awesome. He is our Banner. Talk about identity! We are children of the most high God of all creation! We worship Him today and lift up our hands to Him, declaring that He is Lord over our lives, homes, finances, families and careers. Nothing or no-one is over Him. He is our banner!
Lord God,
Thank You for revealing Yourself to us as our banner. We lift You high and are reminded of the security, hope and freedom that is found in Christ alone. We have such high identity with You as our Father. You are Lord over everything in our lives. We willingly submit completely to Your most holy will for our lives. You are in charge. What an amazing feeling to have Yahweh Nissi surrounding us. You are Lord over us, from the top to the bottom, from the front to the back and in every aspect of our lives. You are number one above all and over all. Thank You for walking with us through our battles. Help us to remember the battle is Yours not ours. We love You and are so thankful that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
