In Proverbs chapter 3 we learn that we will receive long life and peace when we keep God’s commandments. The chapter also says that we will have God and man’s favor and high esteem when we have mercy and truth. Three commands are given in verses 5-6:
- Trust in the Lord with all of our heart.
- Lean not on our own understanding.
- Acknowledge Him in all of our ways.
…And He shall direct our paths. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).
Father,
Truly the best time of the day is in Your presence. Living in Your presence is so awesome and amazing. To know You on such a personal level is wonderful. We ask that You would help us to continue to seek You with all of our hearts, to lean on Your understanding and not ours, and to acknowledge You in all of our ways. We ask for You to take the helm, the wheel, the control over our lives. We surrender to You and know that we are safe in Your hands. All praise to our Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come. Praying always in Jesus name. Amen.
