Been Deceived By A Friend?

Today’s word comes from Psalm 41 Psalm 41 NKJV – The Blessing and Suffering of the Godly – Bible Gateway

We read in this Psalm that we are to have a heart for the poor and the Lord will deliver us in our time of trouble. He is faithful. We may have been deceived by a friend at one time or another. This psalm teaches us what to do in that instance or scenario.

The first thing to know is that God delivers the needy (v 1-3).

The second thing to do is tell the Lord about your experience (v 4-9).

The third thing is to know that God will take care of you and vindicate you (v 10-12).

Bless God and praise Him (Psalm 34:1).

Being Christlike, we, also, should always forgive as He forgives (Ephesians 4:32). Ask God (just like Jesus did while He was on the cross) to forgive them also for they do not know what they are doing (Luke 23:34). Then let it go and let God be who He is. He is the Judge (James 4:12). We need to be merciful for He is merciful (Luke 6:36).

Pray with me please.

Father God,

We love You so much! You are so good, kind and loving to us. You loved us first. You gave Your best for us. You show us what love, mercy and compassion is for You embody those qualities. They are in existence because You are. We are so thankful for everything that You have shown us. Help us as we digest Your word to apply every line to our hearts, minds and souls. May we continually grow in Your grace and knowledge. May Your praise ever be on our lips, yes even and especially during the hard times. For no matter what You are God alone and You deserve to be praised. In Jesus’ name we ask all things. Amen.
