Obey God’s Wisdom

1 Corinthians 1:25 NKJV Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

God understands things that we are not capable of understanding.

Proverbs 4:7 NKJV Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

God’s wisdom refers to a Christian’s understanding, which we should have in life.

1 Corinthians 1:30 NASB But it is due to Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption

Jesus is our wisdom.

Wisdom leads to life. Folly leads to death.

Todays word comes from Proverbs 9 which again tells us to avoid the adulterous woman. Proverbs 9 NKJV – The Way of Wisdom – Wisdom has built – Bible Gateway

God knows our hearts. We are to trust in Him alone for He alone will save us. He will redeem us for His mercies sake. See Psalm 44. Psalm 44 NKJV – Redemption Remembered in Present – Bible Gateway

Father God,

Oh how we need Your wisdom. Your wisdom is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy (James 3:17). That is the wisdom that we need in every situation in our lives that we are faced with. From work, to dishes, to solicitors, to everything else in or outside of our home life. Nothing is hidden from You and we do not wish to hide anything. We ask for You to clean us up in our thoughts, directions and actions. May everything that we say always line up with Your perfect will. Help us to be pleasing in Your sight at all times. As we get off the boat, like Peter did, and walk towards You, it is very easy to get our eyes on the things of this world and off of You. Forgive us for that. Help us to refocus on You and Your goodness. We ask today that we would be able to apply the lesson of the adulterous woman to our heart and teach this truth to our children. Help us to always be ready in season and out of season to teach Your word to those around us (2 Timothy 4:2). We love You and praise You and we ask all things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
