Dear Father

Abba means dear Father in Aramaic. How precious is this name of God?

Abba is pronounced AB-ba.

2 Corinthians 6:18 NKJV “I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the Lord Almighty.”

Matthew 6:9 NKJV In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

Galatians 4:6 NKJV And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”

Pray with me please.

Father God,

We are so thankful for this name of Yours and the love You show in Your name, dear Father. We have not received a spirit that makes us fearful, instead we received Your own Spirit when You adopted us and now we have the privilege of calling You, Abba, Father (Romans 8:15). Thank You for loving us unconditionally. So many times we love if or when someone does something for us, but You loved us before we even came to You. Your word says while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). What love that is! Incredible, priceless and unfathomable. From the bottom of our heart, we cry, thank You dearest Father. We are forgiven, loved and called Your children. We bless and praise Your holy name. Help us to come to You at any time that we need help and to realize that You, God Almighty, are our dear Father. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
