Today’s word comes from Deuteronomy 32 which you can read in link below, or please follow along with your own physical copy of the word of the Lord. I love reading from the KJV and I use a highlighter to mark the verses that speak to me.
In this chapter we are told to proclaim the name of the Lord. We do this by stating His perfections. Some of those as listed in Deuteronomy chapter 32 are:
- He is our Rock. He is our only strength, hope and refuge.
- He is our portion forever. He is the Only inheritance that matters.
- He is the Rock of our salvation. God is our trust-worthy, Rock-solid Savior.
- He formed us (Genesis 1:27).
- He holds all vengeance and recompense (v.35).
- He is merciful to His people. In the Bible, God’s mercy means His pity, compassion, and kindness toward people. His mercy shows up in our life at salvation, and then He continues to show mercy in His forgiveness. We are instructed to be merciful as He is merciful (Luke 6:36).
For all these reasons and more, we praise Him.
Have you seen the marines singing this song? That surely is a blessing. Oh, God please be with America’s military men and women in Jesus’ name.
Father God,
You are so wonderful, holy and righteous. Your word is truth. You are helping us to grow in You and we so appreciate Your lovingkindness and Your mercy. Help us to be merciful as You are merciful. You are our Rock. You are our solid foundation. Hearing You say, ‘Well Done‘ is the only thing that matters. Thank You for making us who we are and for putting us in the exact places in this world that You want us to be. We have such security knowing that our lives are safe in Your hands. There is no one like You in all the earth. We give all praise to You the creator of the heavens and the earth, our Elohim. We love You and pray in Your Son Jesus’ name. Amen.

If you do not know Jesus but would like to know more about Him, including how you can be saved, please read the following blog titled,
