Our King

Revelation 17:14 NKJV  These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.

Basileus Basileon is the Greek name for God meaning The King Of kings. Our God is so awesome and of His greatness none can compare.

The way to pronounce His name is bas-si-LEUS ba-si-LE-own

Jesus is The King of kings. He is sovereign and has all authority over every ruler and over all nations. Every knee shall bow to Him (Philippians 2:10). He is high and lifted up. There is none greater than or mightier than He is. All people are subject to Him (1 Corinthians 15:28).

On earth rulers in charge of government have a limited amount of power. God is THE one and only true King that has all authority and all power (Matthew 28:18). Everything and everyone else will pass away, He alone is God of forever. He has no beginning and no end for He is the beginning and the end. There is absolutely no higher authority.

Pray with me please.

Father God,

How wonderful is Your name! Yes, You are King of kings! You reign in all sovereignty. We lift You higher. We sing praises to Your name. You are good. You are righteous and true and of Your kingdom there is no end. You hold everything in Your hands. How wonderful to know what power that You have. Thank You for opening our eyes to this aspect of Your character. We have such safety in knowing that You are in charge. There is comfort in knowing You and in knowing exactly Who You are. You are so many things. No wonder that You have so many different names. One name cannot contain all of which You are. Thank You for loving us and for choosing us. Who are we that You are mindful of us? Yet You are! You are loving. You have given us so much. We hunger for more of You. Help us to apply the wisdom of Who You are to our hearts and minds that we might not sin against You. We wave our spiritual banner and shout glory hallelujah our King has come. You are our Savior. We want nothing but to be closer to You. We empty ourselves of every thing and claim Your righteousness. We ask for You to fill us to overflowing in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  1. I really love that song “Raise a Hallelujah.” I shared it with my friend whose brother is in the Hospital with a lot of damage from drugs. He has lost the past 10 years and cannot take care of himself. I know this song will help her. I love your blog!

  2. “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed”

“He catches the wise in their own craftiness…”

Yet His Kingdom is without end…

    Blessings
