Don’t Be a Hater

Proverbs 26:24-26 NKJV He who hates, disguises it with his lips,
And lays up deceit within himself;
²⁵ When he speaks kindly, do not believe him,
For there are seven abominations in his heart;
²⁶ Though his hatred is covered by deceit,
His wickedness will be revealed before the assembly.

People who hate disguise it with the things they say. They do not want to quit hating nor do they want to be known as a hater. The thing is, God knows the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). There is no hiding the truth from Him. One day all of the hater’s wickedness will be exposed. We are not to hate. God’s command throughout scripture is to love.

Father God,

We thank You for the wisdom that You have provided us through Your Holy Bible. Thank You that You are working for us and drawing us ever so close to Your side. This world and the lusts thereof hold no appeal to us. Right now, we declare that there is absolutely no room in our hearts for hatred of any type for any person. We will not hold on to that which is displeasing in Your sight. Thank You for removing any and all hatred. You are so awesome to have shown us this today. May our walk be blameless and pleasing in Your sight. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
