1 Corinthians 15:45 KJV And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
God gave life to the first Adam. Jesus, as the last Adam, gives life to all who believe.
John 5:26 KJV For as the Father hath life in Himself, so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself.
1 Corinthians 15:21-22 KJV
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at His coming.
What joy we have, as Christians, to know Jesus as the last Adam Who is our Quickening (Life-Giving) Spirit.
Father God,
Sometimes words are not enough to tell You how much we love You. As the song says please listen to our hearts. We come before You in humble surrender. We lay our will at Your feet and ask for Your will to transpire in our hearts and lives. You have residence in our hearts and we give You full reign. Work in us and through us to accomplish Your purposes. Keep us strong in the face of adversity. We need You and call on You, Jesus, our, Quickening Spirit, to move in us in a mighty way. In Your name name we pray. Amen.
