Treasures in Heaven

Luke 18:19-23 NKJV So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. ²⁰ You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ ”

²¹ And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.”

²² So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

²³ But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.

Where is our treasure today? What do we hold the most value in? What do we put above all? What are we trusting in? The things of this earth will pass away. God and His word will never pass away. It is time to be completely devoted to Him and His cause. Worship God alone! Put Him first. Pray continually. Seek His face. This life is not a playground. We cannot sit on the fence. Choose what side you will be playing on. Then give it your all.

Pray with me please.

Father God,

You are awesome and holy. Your words are righteous and true. There is none greater than You in all the world. We worship You in the beauty of Your holiness. We lift up our prayers to You today. Please help us to be Kingdom-minded. Only one thing matters to us and that is to hear You say, ‘Well done‘. May we give all that we have in doing what we know to be Your will on this earth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
