Heaven’s Highway

Proverbs 16:17 NKJV The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; He who keeps his way preserves his soul.

As Christ-followers, our desire, the thing that we constantly pursue, that which has our heart is to stay away from sin. We make it our goal to please God in all that we think, do or say (2 Corinthians 5:9-10). That is the road that we are on. The road that leads to Heaven and being with Jesus.

There is another road, however, and as the saying goes, ‘the road to hell is paved with good intentions.’ People often intend to get right with God, but they do not. They put it off thinking (no doubt) that they will do it in the future. How unfortunate for those who tomorrow never comes for. The Bible says now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart (Hebrews 3:7-8). This is serious business here. A commitment must be made. Satan is vying for your soul. He wants you to spend all of eternity in Hell with him. To not make a decision is to reject God because no man is guaranteed tomorrow (James 4:14 & Proverbs 27:1).

If you are not on Heaven’s Highway please make a commitment to the Lord today. Say the following prayer asking Jesus into your heart. I cannot stress enough that you have to whole-heartedly mean it.

Pray with me please.

Father God,

Help us to be lights in this world. May others see You in us and be drawn to You. May we, through Your power, rescue those who are perishing and on the wrong road. Please speak to those hearts who do not know You but have stumbled upon this blog today. Let them make the best commitment that they could ever make. Thank You for all the many things that You are doing in our lives. We love You and praise You. And ask all things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

If you do not know Jesus but would like to know more about Him, including how you can be saved, please read the following blog titled, You Never Let Us Go. God bless.
