God’s Beauty in Creation

He loves whatever is just and good;
    the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.
⁶ The Lord merely spoke,
    and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word,
    and all the stars were born.
⁷ He assigned the sea its boundaries
    and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.
⁸ Let the whole world fear the Lord,
    and let everyone stand in awe of him.
⁹ For when he spoke, the world began!
    It appeared at his command.

Psalm 33:5-9 NLT

Have you ever stopped and just been in awe of the Lord for His splendor in creation? The Bible says that He made everything just by speaking. What power God possesses. God is awesome and amazing. He is so much more than we could ever think or imagine. No-one has the power He alone possesses. Just stop and think of how great His works are. He who holds the earth in His hands can surely take care of us. Whatever our need is, our God is greater.

Father God,

Today we stop and give You praise for Your beauty that surrounds us in the heavens and the earth. Help us to deliberately see You in all of Your glorious creation. May we take a few minutes just to look around us and give You the appreciation You deserve. You have made all things beautiful in their time. All of nature sings forth Your praise. We are in awe of You. Thank You for having provided everything that we need. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
