The heart of the prudent gets knowledge,
Proverbs 18:15 MEV
and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
We get knowledge by studying the word of God. We should want to invest in our belief. Jesus said, ‘where your treasure is there will your heart be also’ (Matthew 6:21). What are we treasuring today? Is it God’s word? Do we realize the tremendous amount of worth that is in every syllable of what He is saying to us? Do we ponder His word? Let’s apply our hearts to understanding the wisdom found in His word and cry out for the Lord to help us receive the knowledge that we need for each moment (Proverbs 2:2).
Father God,
We treasure our time with You. There is nothing better than to be in Your presence soaking up all the love that You have for us. You give us strength and wisdom. You help us and guide us along our paths (Psalm 23:3). We acknowledge You as Lord over all (Proverbs 3:6). You are our great, loving and merciful Father. You are kind, strong and all knowing. Your promises are sure and true (2 Corinthians 1:20). We can rest in You. We ask for You to get our attention, Lord. Help us to slow down and breathe in Your promises. We need wisdom to accomplish the purposes that You have for our lives (James 1:5). We love and worship You. Have mercy on us and draw us close to Your side. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
