This morning when I was listening to the radio the above song from Casting Crowns came on. I couldn’t help but lovingly think about my 16-year-old daughter because when we first heard that song, we both loved it so much and would sing it loud with each other. We still do when it comes on. That was such a wonderful memory. The lyrics are moving.
Maybe someone has told you that you do not belong, that you aren’t right, or that you never get things right. Perhaps they might have said or have made you feel in some way that you were a misfit. Let me tell you that all of that is garbage and you need to put it in a bag and throw it out with the trash.
We, as Christians, do belong. We all belong to the Lord God Almighty. The Lord of the universe is our Father. That is what we glory in, the truth of God’s love in us and for us. By ourselves we can do nothing (2 Corinthians 3:5). But with God’s power we can live our lives and tell the world (by our voices and our actions) all about Somebody (Jesus) who saved our soul (Philippians 1:21 & Mark 16:15).
Father God,
How amazing You are. Thank You for Your great love. Thank You for our new identity through Christ. Indeed, we agree with Paul, it is no longer we who live but Christ who lives in us and now we live by faith in Jesus, who loved us and gave His life for us (Galatians 2:20). We also agree with Your word that for us to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21). We submit to You and Your plan for our lives (James 4:7). It is now our goal to please You (2 Corinthians 5:9). Help us to live our lives worthy of our calling (Ephesians 4:1). May everything we do and everything we say bring You joy. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we can be lights of Yours in this dark world. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Worship with me as we sing with Matt Redman, The Heart of Worship.
If you do not know Jesus but would like to know more about Him, including how you can be saved, please read the following blog titled, You Never Let Us Go. God bless. https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/01/07/you-never-let-us-go/
Yes, {{{Donna}}} I am so grateful to be able to say, “…it is no longer we who live but Christ who lives in us …” and to know Him intimately. Thank you for your daily encouragement. God bless you!

It is sad so many believe that junk. It is very hurtful to have experienced it (myself included), but thank God He is our great Healer both physical and emotional. He meets our every need. Sometimes before we even ask. He loves us so much and is so good to us. Praise the Lord! He brings beauty out of ashes.
Thanks for commenting. Have a good day.
