9 We had the sentence of death in ourselves, so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead. 10 He delivered us from so great a death and does deliver us. In Him we trust that He will still deliver us, 11 as you help together by praying for us, so that thanks may be given by many on our behalf for the gift bestowed upon us by means of many persons.

12 For our rejoicing is this: The testimony of our conscience is that we conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you, in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but
by the grace of God.
We should not trust in ourselves. For it is God who is at work in us (Philippians 2:13). He will accomplish that which He has said He would (Isaiah 55:11). God, who has power over death, will keep us. If we die, we will be with the Lord and if we live, we live with the Lord. Live or die we are the Lord’s (Romans 14:8), and our lives we surrender to His will. God will defend us. We needn’t worry, stress or fear. He has us in the palm of His hand (Isaiah 41:10).
Father God,
We rejoice in Your provisions. We are so thankful that we have You there to help us, guide us and protect us. May our very lives shine for Your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Oh {{{Donna}}} that is exactly what I blogged about in the middle of last when I couldn’t sleep: “We needn’t worry, stress or fear. He has us in the palm of His hand.” Yes, and as I turned my burdens over to Jesus, He carried me to slumber and I woke rested. God is so good!!

Yes He is good! He does more than we could ever hope or imagine. I am so thankful that His ways are not our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts. He is so much better. He gives so much to us. Praise His holy name forever.
