5 I am not overstating it when I say that the man who caused all the trouble hurt all of you more than he hurt me. 6 Most of you opposed him, and that was punishment enough. 7 Now, however, it is time to forgive and comfort him. Otherwise he may be overcome by discouragement. 8 So I urge you now to reaffirm your love for him.
9 I wrote to you as I did to test you and see if you would fully comply with my instructions. 10 When you forgive this man, I forgive him, too. And when I forgive whatever needs to be forgiven, I do so with Christ’s authority for your benefit, 11 so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes.
paul-2 Corinthians 2:10-11 nlt

We see that there was some type of correction for the one who caused all the trouble. But then there was forgiveness and love. We are to forgive the erring brother by the authority and in the name of Jesus. By His power living in us, we can forgive. Trust in God’s power. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Say it out loud (I forgive you in Jesus’ name) and believe. There is power in Jesus’ name; power to love, power to forgive and power to heal.
Father God,
You are the very definition of righteous and holy. You are the example that we are to follow. Your word has supplied the instructions that we need for daily living. There is a time for everything. There is a time for correction and a time for restoration. Help us to know when to correct an erring brother and how to do it out of love. May everything that we say and do be pleasing in Your eyes. Help us to love and show forgiveness. Jesus, You forgave while You were hanging on the cross. Help us to get to that point. Help us to see that we have no ‘right’ to unforgiveness. Teach us to forgive as You have forgiven. Praying always and only in Your name Jesus. Amen.

If you do not know Jesus but would like to know more about Him, including how you can be saved, please read the following blog titled, You Never Let Us Go. God bless. https://thefathersfeet.wordpress.com/2020/01/07/you-never-let-us-go/
To forgive and be forgiven is one hallmark of a happy, contented life. Without it there is only misery. I pray with you this Sunday morning, {{{Donna}}} – “Heavenly Father, thank You for your Son, Jesus, who showed us how to forgive and who laid down His life that I might know You and accept Your grace as He demonstrated. Help us to remember Your gift of forgiveness, accept it, and pass it on. “ 🙏🏽 Amen 🙏🏽
