Prior to the following scripture, Paul was encouraging the church with the following: God will raise us from the dead as He did Jesus. We will one day stand before Him. His grace is being poured out. This will bring more and more thanks to God for His glory. He then said the following in 2 Corinthians 4: 16 That is why we never give up. Our physical body is becoming older and weaker, but our spirit inside us is made new every day. 17 We have small troubles for a while now, but these troubles are helping us gain an eternal glory. That eternal glory is much greater than our troubles. 18 So we think about what we cannot see, not what we see. What we see lasts only a short time, and what we cannot see will last forever.
The word of God is so comforting. Don’t you agree? Even though we are getting older and weaker, our spirit is being made new every day. We may have troubles, but thanks be to God that these troubles are helping us gain an eternal glory! So, we shift our focus to things we cannot see, not what we see. This life and all the things that we can see will only last a short time. What we cannot see will last forever.
Let’s build up our treasures in Heaven! Go share the Gospel message with someone. Share the blog at the bottom of this page titled You Never Let Us Go. It is about salvation. That is what Christ came for, to save the lost. That should be our message to others. The things that are not seen are the ones that count. God bless you dear reader!
We praise You. Every hour of every day may Your praise be on our lips. May we never forget to praise You for the wonderful and sometimes unseen things that You are doing, have done and will do. You are awesome and amazing. You give Your children everything that we need. We are blessed. Thank You! May our lives bring You glory. Help us to share the gifts that You have given us to whomever that You have put in our path to share them with, whether it is a word, a song, a message, a gift or whatever means that You have given us. May everything we do and everything we say be for Your glory. Oh, how we long to see You face to face. Help us as we go through this life to fulfill that which You would have us to do. Give us wisdom and boldness to speak the truth in love to all those around us for indeed the time on this earth is short and we are just passing through (Ephesians 4:15). Heaven is our home and we long to be there with You (Hebrews 13:14-16). While we are here may everything we do be pleasing in Your sight. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
