Confidence in Christ

Todays word comes from Philippians chapter one. You can read the entire chapter in following link.

Today verses 6, 10, 14 & 27 stood out to me. Let’s take a look together at these powerful words.

I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.
10 that you may approve things that are excellent so that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ
14 And a great many of the brothers in the Lord, having become confident because of my incarcerations, have dared to speak the word without fear.
27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, that whether or not I come and see you, I may hear of your activities, that you are standing fast in one spirit, with one mind, striving together for the faith of the gospel.

  • God will finish what He started in us.
  • God can give us discernment.
  • God can give us boldness.
  • Our lives need to be conducted as citizens of Heaven in unity to further the message of the gospel.
Pray with me please.

Father God,
We are coming before You submitting to Your will for our lives. We can do nothing on our own, but through You we can do all things (John 15:5). Your power is limitless. You are awesome and amazing. Your word is true. We can trust You to finish what You have started in us. We have discernment, hope and enlightenment through the holy pages in Your word. You breathe life to us in Your word. You give us power from Your Holy Spirit to be bold as lions, so that we can speak Your word with strength, power and clarity. We come before You and acknowledge that You are God alone and there is no other (1 John 4:15). You are sovereign. You are holy. You have all power! Please flood us with Your Holy Spirit so that we can be Your witnesses to a lost and dying world. Give us the will and the desire to continue to die to the flesh and live in Your Spirit. We can do all things through You, Lord (Philippians 4:13). We long to hear You say, “Well done thou good and faithful servant” to us when we finish this earthly race. Oh, what a happy day that will be. Be with us and lead us in the way which we should go, for we are leaning on You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

    1. You are so welcome. God is so good to us. He always gives us exactly what we need. The closer we get to Him the more He reveals Himself to us. There is such comfort in His presence.
I am sorry that you couldn’t sleep. I hate nights like that. I am so happy that God used this blog to help you today. He knows everything ahead of time! I have approximately 40 blogs scheduled to publish for the next 40 days. This one was ready a few months ago. Just think on that. He gives us just what we need exactly when we need it. He is good. Praise His holy name forever.
Sending much love and hugs to you mama Jan. ❤

      1. Yes we are blessed. Shall we sing? 🎶I’m blessed and I know that I am since Jesus came in to my heart. I’m blessed and I know that I am for He promised me a new start. I’m blessed for He walks with me and He leads me wherever I go. So if you happen to ask me how I am my friend, I’m blessed, I’m blessed I’m blessed. 🎶
