Sometimes we do not know what to do. It is times when the world, satan, others and the flesh are coming against us that we may feel weakened. We may not know what to do with hurts, bad experiences or false teachings or perceptions. We may feel lost, hopeless or defeated. It is during these times that we have to understand that God is for us! We have to claim His word and not our feelings. As humans it is our nature to let our feelings have control over every aspect of our lives. On our own, we have no control over any of it. But thanks be to God that in Him we can do all things and in Him we have the victory.
The Lord has said in 2 Chronicles 20 verse fifteen to not fear or be discouraged. He said the battle was not theirs but His! It is our choice to believe or not believe that the same God who fought for those in Jerusalem is the same God who fights for us today. I choose to believe in Him and in His strength and in His power. His word says that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). Believe and receive it! Start trusting Him. He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19).
We see in the same book of 2 Chronicles chapter twenty verse 21 that Jehosophat trusted the Lord and he sent people to sing and praise the Lord in front of the army. They sang, “Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever.” The Lord then fought their battle. Just as He fought their battles, He is waiting to fight yours. Will you trust and let Him? May we always be found saying, Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God (Psalm 20:7). Praise Him for He is good and worthy of all praise. He is our Sustainer, Deliverer, Strong-Tower. Hallelujah! Whatever we need He is and has provided. Remember His name and remember that He is for you not against you.
Father God,
We praise You for You are good and Your mercy endures forever. We trust You to fight our battles. We bring all of our hearts before You today. You already know what is going on in each and every life represented here today. You already have every answer that we need. We pray for You to come and do a mighty work in the lives of Your children We bless and praise you and call on Your name for every situation. We claim that You are God alone and You are for us and not against us. We trust in Your promises. You will work everything out for our good. We rest in Your security and provision. Help us to know You better so that we can trust You more. We love You and we need You. Help us to always turn to You. May praising You be the first thing we always do when dealing with our own personal battles. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
