God is great and worthy of all praise.
I think this verse shows the need for public proclamation of our faith. Never be ashamed of the Lord. Remember what Jesus said in Luke 9:26: For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and the glory of the Father and the holy angels. So speak up when you feel led by His Holy Spirit. Your testimony is yours alone and no one else can tell it exactly how you can.
You may have read that verse before, but have you ever meditated on it? Our death, as Christians, is precious in the Lord’s sight. We will then be with Him for all eternity. This world is not our home. We are just travelers here. Our home is in Heaven with Jesus.
There is so much in this chapter of Psalm. You can go over the entire chapter in the following link. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+116&version=KJV;NKJV
You are worthy of all praise. You are holy, righteous and true. Everything that You do is for our good. You look out for us and protect us at times that we are even unaware. You are good. Thank You for Your great love and concern for Your people. Today we come before You and thank You that Your mercy endures forever (Psalm 118:1-4). Thank You for being on our side (Psalm 118:6). Thank You for never leaving us or forsaking us (Deuteronomy 31:6). We trust You. All of our confidence is in You and what You have declared to be true in Your word. You are our Light and our Guide. There is no thing and no one that we have to fear. You will never let us down. We are Your dearly loved children (Ephesians 5:1). Thank You so much for Your mercy and grace. Help us to be better people and to always choose the better way. May we love as You love. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
