Great and Glorious Day!

²⁵ For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth;
²⁶ And after my skin is destroyed, this I know,
That in my flesh I shall see God,
²⁷ Whom I shall see for myself,
And my eyes shall behold, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!

Pray with me please.

Father God,
How wonderful You are. How precious and holy is Your name. We exalt You as Lord over all. You are awesome and of Your kingdom there is no end. You are the Author and Completer of our faith. We know that You live! We are speaking to You our King right now and You speak to us. Please quiet our hearts and help us to be receptive to that which You are saying to us today. No matter what happens to us in this body (that is daily wasting away), we know that one great and glorious day we will see You! That gives us cause to shout! That fact alone gives our hearts such joy. We can truly say along with the psalmist, “How my heart yearns within me!” We long to see You. Thank You for all that You have done for us. May we, as Christ-followers, always bring honor to Your name. The name that is above every other name. The name that every one will bow to we humbly bow now and pray for Your mercy, grace and wisdom to be evidenced in our surrendered lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
