Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:10 NKJV

Walk the walk and talk the talk. Have you ever heard that before? It gives us something to think about in today’s world. We may have it easier in America (for now) than other parts of the world does. Bad things may or may not happen to us. Where will we stand when they do? It was easy for Peter to say to Jesus that he would never deny Him when Peter was right beside the Lord in peace and serenity. But when rubber met the road in his circumstance and Peter actually saw the persecution of Jesus and of all who was with Him, he failed to keep that promise. The Lord didn’t hold it against Peter. He even prayed for Him. He prayed for His disciples and He prays for us.

Pray with me please.

Father God,
What a beautiful privilege it is to be Your children and to be able to come to You in prayer. You are always there for us. Thank You for that. No matter what happens to us in this life, You are with us. You are our Strength and You provide everything that we need in every circumstance. You are good and we praise You. Thank You for being our righteousness. Thank You for being our everything. Thank You for providing the way out for us. Thank You for picking us up when we fall. Thank You for Your great love and mercy. We ask for Your power to rest on us. Please give us the right words at the right time and help us to never give up or lose heart. We trust in You. Thank You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
