Just Preach Jesus

29 The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and walk along beside the carriage.”
30 Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?”
31 The man replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.
32 The passage of Scripture he had been reading was this:
“He was led like a sheep to the slaughter.
And as a lamb is silent before the shearers,
he did not open his mouth.
33 He was humiliated and received no justice.
Who can speak of his descendants?
For his life was taken from the earth.”
34 The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, was the prophet talking about himself or someone else?” 35 So beginning with this same Scripture, Philip told him the Good News about Jesus.
36 As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look! There’s some water! Why can’t I be baptized?” 38 He ordered the carriage to stop, and they went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.
39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away. The eunuch never saw him again but went on his way rejoicing. 40 Meanwhile, Philip found himself farther north at the town of Azotus. He preached the Good News there and in every town along the way until he came to Caesarea.

Acts 8:29-40 NLT

We see in the above scripture that the Holy Spirit called Phillip. Phillip answered the call and preached the Good News of Jesus to whom he was led to. We have to listen and be receptive to what the Holy Spirit is telling us to do, where He is telling us to go and to whom He wants us to speak to.

Some of the lyrics to the song Just Preach Jesus are:
Just preach Jesus born and crucified and risen from the dead
Just preach Jesus as He paid for sin with the precious blood he shed
Lord and Savior, King of kings, Son of God and Son of man
Just preach Jesus until Jesus comes again
Lord and Savior, King of kings, Son of God and Son of man
Just preach Jesus son until Jesus comes again.

Pray with me please.

Father God,
You are so awesome. Thank You for the beautiful melody that we have in this song today and the encouragement to just preach Jesus until Jesus comes again. There is no other message than that You loved the world so much that You gave Your only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish (John 3:16). May we always share the Good News with others. You set us free! We ask today for a boldness to speak Your word with truth and power from on high. We ask that we (just as the song says) would preach Jesus born and crucified and risen from the dead. May we preach Jesus as He paid for sin with the precious blood He shed. May we always be about Your business. Save the lost through our living testimony of Your grace, goodness and power. May we shine like beacons in this lost, dark and cold world. May we always bring You glory. For we ask all things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

    1. Warm water and a sponge worked real well for me when I got stitches in my finger and had it in a splint for a while. It was hard to move when it came off. Weirdest thing ever was when it was in water it was easy. Praying your recovery is quick. Sending hugs your way. 💜 🌺

    1. Yes amen! Woe to those who are deliberately teaching falsely. We must be so careful with what we say. Our words should be lined up with what the Bible says. Then we will know we have spoken rightly.
      God bless you sister.
