Imitate God

He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

1 John 2:6 NKJV

How did Jesus walk and talk? What should we be doing and saying? The answers are found in His word. May we all be opening the pages, digging a little deeper and finding our guidance from the Master.

Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

1 Corinthians 11:1 MKJV
Pray with me please.

Father God,
Your children need You. With every step that we take we want to be pleasing in Your sight. Thank You for this day and for the word which You have provided. Help us to study and truly meditate on Your word. May we hide Your word in our hearts that we might not sin against You. Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Thank You for our many blessings. You are so good to us. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

Ephesians 5:1 NKJV

  1. I am singing this scripture with you today, {{{Donna}}} as I share meaningful scripture with my friends at the nursing home. One lost her husband yesterday. They had been married 70 years!! The others praying and studying and singing with me had just said farewell to a dear sister in Christ. “Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.” Lord, be with and comfort us all. There is so much hurt & pain in this world. May we trust in the promises of eternity and live for the day we all may sit at Christ’s feet!

    1. Awwww. Boy you just never know. Only God knows when our last day will be. May we ever be ready humbly awaiting eternity with our Lord. My condolences to your friends. One day we will be reunited with our loved ones. May the thought of eternity bring comfort to your grieving friends. Thank you for being such a strong support for them. God bless you Jan. Hugs. 💜

  2. I wrote and sent a long response. Maybe too long? It disappeared. Darn! “Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.” I am singing this scripture today.
