How God Sees Us

When we accept Jesus as our Savior we become children of God. He then sees us as His children.

12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 1:12-13 NKJV

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God

Romans 8:15-16 NKJV

Consider how much love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now are we children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Whoever practices sin breaks the law, for sin is lawlessness. You know that He was revealed to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever remains in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has not seen Him and does not know Him.

Little children, let no one deceive you. The one who does righteousness is righteous, just as Christ is righteous. Whoever practices sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not practice sin, for His seed remains in him. And he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: Whoever does not live in righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

1 John 3:1-10 MEV
Pray with me please.

Father God,
Thank You so much for Your great love. Knowing that we are Your children is such a blessing. You see us as Your children. That fact fills our hearts with joy. Thank You for Your Word which is continually drawing us closer to Your side. One word of Yours is so much better than ten thousand of our own. We ask that You continue to unite us as Your children. We are a part of Your family. Help us to love all others and to show that love by the things we say and do. Purify us with the washing of Your word. When we make mistakes may we come humbly to You seeking forgiveness right away. May we only and always seek to bring You joy as Your dearly loved children. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
