34 “Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? 35 It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Luke 14:34-35 NKJV

Jesus said that we are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13). We are here to season the earth with the saltiness of Christ. We have to proclaim the truth of the Gospel (mark 16:15). We have nothing to be afraid or ashamed of. There is a Heaven for the world to gain and a hell for them to receive if they reject Christ. How can they hear unless we tell them? We have to be flavorful and speak up.

Pray with me please.

Father God,
We love You so much. Thank You for this day and another word from You. We give our hearts to You in sweet surrender. There is no other place that we would rather be than in Your presence. Thank You for drawing us closer to Your side. Help us to be salty for You in this world. May we never turn back or lose our saltiness. We ask for boldness to proclaim Your truths to all those that You would place in our paths. We confess our sins, and we repent asking for Your forgiveness. Thank You for being our strength when we are weak. We pray for Your protection to be upon us. May all of the fiery darts of the enemy be quenched with the shield of faith that You have provided us with (Ephesians 6:16). We praise You and lift Your holy name on high. Thanking You for everything You have done, are doing and will do in the lives of Your children. May You receive all the praise, honor and glory. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

  1. Beautiful words, wonderful words of life! Yes, Lord, with my friend, {{{Donna}}}, I ask of You, “We ask for boldness to proclaim Your truths to all those that You would place in our paths.” Amen!❤️

      1. Thank you. My hand is gaining strength daily and the fingers are getting some flexibility back (esp. the ring finger which was immobilized for 6 weeks -) but not the pinky … it’s still stiff. I coax it daily – multiple times. God says, “Patience!”

  2. Amen Donna we are to be that salt. And yesterday I showed my salt to a young man. My husband and I stopped at Walmart. I sat in the car while he went in since he was just picking one item up. While I was sitting in the car with the windows down a young man approached the car and asked if I had spare change? Of all the time for me to not have my purse with me. I told him that I did not have any change. I then watched this young man walk to every person and car asking people for spare change.

No one that he asked reached in their pocket to help him out. After about maybe six people of him asking I noticed that he came back to the front door of Walmart. He sat down on the ground then he laid down.

I could hardly keep still I was waiting for my husband to come out of the store so that I could get some money. When all of a sudden, the young man reached in his bag and open his bible to read. I thought to myself is this young man asking God to see if people would help him or not. By this time another woman came with food in a bag to give him.

Then my hubby shows up I raced into Walmart brought a sub, bag of chips and a 16 oz mountain dew then raced to the young man and gave him the food. He said thank you.

I understand with so many people begging on the streets for money it is really hard to tell if they really need it or are they scamming folks. Which makes it rough as to why many people do not give. But with this young man I sensed in my spirit that he really needed help.

God is good He always has His children in the right place at the right time.

    1. That is a beautiful story. You have a wonderful heart. May you be blessed in your giving. My husband and I go around and around over the same thing. He always says they are scammers. I say well we do not know for sure. So we just have to do what is right and let God deal with them if they really don’t need help and are faking to get people’s sympathy and ultimately their money. But we aren’t the judge.
What is good to know is as a child of God, He will lay it on our hearts as when to give like He did you. God bless you! Sounds like a good blog for you to write.
Sending hugs your way sis. Love ya!
