My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
Psalm 42:2,5 & 11 NKJV
When shall I come and appear before God?
Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him
For the help of His countenance.

The help of my countenance and my God.
We should always and only turn to God for help. When you are going through trials or testings on earth and when things are dark, gloomy and bleak, turn to Him. While we are waiting for Him to answer, we should praise Him. He alone is worthy of all praise no matter what our situation may be. Our problems do not change the fact that God is supreme and all powerful and He is worthy of our praise through good times and through bad.
Father God,
Thank You for gathering Your children together today and speaking to our hearts. We ask that the eyes to our hearts be opened and that You work a mighty work in us. We ask that Your joy would abound in us no matter what storm we may be faced with. May we always reach out to You. For You alone can calm any storm. We praise You for being God over all. You are our strength when we are weak, and we praise You. Help us to be bright lights for Your glory. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

It has been a wonderful day. I got to spend time with a dear 90 year old sister in Christ. She is so loving, thoughtful and amazing. Just a dear lady.
