Obedience to God

If you love Me, keep My commandments

John 14:15 NKJV

If we profess to love Christ, we will keep His commandments. Our actions will show where our heart is. There will be proof of our love for Him in our day-to-day actions and interactions with others. We are to love God and love others (Matthew 22:37-39), deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow Him (Luke 9:23). It is no longer what we want but rather what He wants us to say, do and even think about (1 Corinthians 10:31, Ephesians 4:22-24 & Philippians 4:8). Our lives will resonate with His glory as we walk closer to and with Him (Matthew 5:16 & Hebrews 1:3).

Pray with me please.

Father God,
We love You and we worship You. Thank You for Your many blessings. If we were to start now, we couldn’t say enough ever of Your goodness to all mankind. Thank You for this earth that You created. Thank You for this period of time that we are placed in. Thank You for knowing, seeing and loving us. Thank You so much for everything You have done. You are so awesome. All You ever wanted is our heart, our love and our devotion to You. You have it Father. You have our all. We lift up our hands to Heaven and we give You every bit of us that makes us who we are. We are Your children. Have Your way in our lives. It is no longer what we want, but what we want is what You want in all aspects of our lives. We surrender to You, our precious and loving Heavenly Father. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

  1. Yes, it is true that “It is no longer what we want but rather what He wants us to say, do and even think about” … and that’s why I pray each morning , “Lord God, help me be what You made me to be. Teach me to be still as I listen for what You want me to do … and then walk in Your Will. Amen”
