Follow God not Rules

Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.  32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. 35 And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. 36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”

John 19:31-37 NKJV
Pray with me please.

Father God,
We are so thankful for Your word which You use to encourage, guide and empower us. Thank You for Your blessed Living Word. With Your Word You save, heal, deliver and disciple. You are good and of Your mercy there is no end. Oh, what a magnitude of multiple blessings You have shown and given to us. We are redeemed (Ephesians 1:7). We are chosen (Colossians 3:12). We are Your children (Galatians 3:26). You love us so much. Before we even turned to You, You loved us. We cannot even grasp the amount of love that You have. Thank You may not be enough but it is all that we have. With our whole heart we say thank You. We love You and want to live our lives to be pleasing in Your sight. May we never just ‘play church’, but may we live the truth in all that we think, say and do. May Your will be done in our lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
