Chosen, Formed and Known by God

“Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant,
And Israel whom I have chosen.
² Thus says the Lord who made you
And formed you from the womb, who will help you:
‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant;
And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
³ For I will pour water on him who is thirsty,
And floods on the dry ground;
I will pour My Spirit on your descendants,
And My blessing on your offspring;

⁶ “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel,
And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
‘I am the First and I am the Last;
Besides Me there is no God.
²⁴ Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,
And He who formed you from the womb:
“I am the Lord, who makes all things,
Who stretches out the heavens all alone,
Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;

Isaiah 44: 1-3,6 & 24 NKJV

How wonderful to know that we are chosen by God. He has formed us while in our mother’s wombs. He knows everything about us including how many hairs are on our heads (Matthew 10:30). Have you ever tried to count even a small amount of your hair before? It is incredible to me that God knows the exact amount!

Father God,
We are so thankful that we do not have to fear things. You are in control. You who have formed all things has created us in our mother’s wombs. We are known by You. You are the Lord God Almighty besides You there is no other. We are safe, loved and protected in Your arms. Thank You. Flood us with Your Holy Spirit. We are thirsty for more of You and less of us. Set our hearts on fire to do what You would have us to do for Your kingdom. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
