Search the Scriptures

But the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and gladly listened to the message. They searched the Scriptures day by day to check up on Paul and Silas’ statements to see if they were really so.

We cannot just rely on what others say that the word of God says. We must search the scriptures also as the Bereans did to see if what people are saying to us is true.

Father God,
What incredible wisdom You possess. You hold it all. Wisdom comes from You. Thank You for showing us the way through the pages of Your Holy Word. You are great and glorious. Help us to seek You and to know You. Help us to spot false teachings because we follow the truth in Your word. May we be lights in this dark world, pointing others to the Truth. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
