Trust the Lord

All you who fear the Lord, trust the Lord!
He is your helper and your shield.

Psalm 115:11 NLT

Trust, as it is used in the Bible, means to have confidence in, place reliance upon, reasonably expect, believe, and entrust. We are to trust in God and his love to provide what we need—both in this reality and the next. The Bible warns us not to place trust in our money, job, possessions, ourselves, or others.

Pray with me please.

Father God,
We love You. We do trust You. We ask for the power to trust You more. For it is when we are weak, then we are strong in You (2 Corinthians 12:10). We need You every second of every day. We thank You for the gift of this day and the many promises in Your word. Today we especially thank You that we are never alone. You have promised to never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:6). What a relief and strength to know that we do not have to walk alone. You love us so much and You have made the provisions that we need to live our lives for You (2 Peter 1:3). May we ever be pleasing in Your sight. In the great and mighty name of Jesus we pray (John 14:13-14). Amen.

  1. Prayers for you today. Have a great day. We missed our connecting flight to Bozeman due to delay of plane to London. Ugh! Need prayers for safe flight and then drive home. We know God is with us. It’s been a marvelous trip.
