Making God Happy

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,
But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,
But He loves him who follows righteousness.

Proverbs 15:8-9 NKJV

God delights (is greatly pleased) in our prayers! He loves those who follow righteousness (who are trying their best to do the right things for the right reasons).

Some synonyms for righteousness are goodness, virtue, decency, integrity, worthiness, morality, honesty, innocence, blamelessness, guiltlessness, sinlessness and purity.

Pray with me please.

Father God,
We do long to be righteous. We are trying so hard to do the right things for the right reasons. We want so to be pleasing in Your sight. Today we pray along with this song’s chorus for You to Take my heart and form it Take my mind, transform it Take my will, conform it To Yours, to Yours, Oh Lord. You are so mighty, so marvelous and so amazing. We trust You to help us, and mold us into people that You can use in this earth to accomplish Your purposes. We are here Lord, at Your feet ready and willing. Strengthen us in the inner man that we might not sin against You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
