Intercede

So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

Ezekiel 22:30 NKJV

How very important it is as Christ-filled believers that we intercede for others. It is time to pray for our country, its leaders and the sin that is so rampant in our nations. This world is going down a very dark path. As Christians we must pray for the land and the people. This verse just struck me when I read it. God was looking but He didn’t find anyone with a pure character. Will He find someone in our generation to stand in the gap?

Pray with me please.

Father God,
How wonderful are Your ways. How majestic, holy and mighty You are. We are in awe of all that You do. One syllable from You and mountains move. We stand before You today and ask that You use us. Help us to have the time to pray for others as You would have us to do during our day today. We ask that You lay people, places and situations on our hearts today to pray for their needs. You know the needs of our communities, states and nations. People are so divided over everything. Help us to bring peace where there is turmoil, to bring hope where there is hopelessness and to bring the power of Your gospel to a lost and dying world. May we lead lives that are above reproach. May everything that we think, do and say bring You glory. In Jesus’name we pray. Amen.
