Growing Spiritually

¹¹ Concerning him we have much to say, and it is difficult to explain, since you have become poor listeners. ¹² For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the actual words of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. ¹³ For everyone who partakes only of milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. ¹⁴ But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to distinguish between good and evil.

Hebrews 5:11-14 NASB

Father God,
Our hope and strength are in You. Please help us to be strong in You. Grow in us is our prayer. May Your word come alive in us changing us from glory to glory. Help us to teach others the truth of Your word. There are many things that You would still have us to learn, please open our hearts and our minds so that we would grow in You and Your ways. May our souls soak up all of the nourishment that we need so that we can overflow to others all that You have for us to. We want our lives to be powerful in You. Teach us to listen to what Your word says. Guide us in the path of everlasting life. Our hope is in You. Please give us the readiness that comes from the Gospel to go and share Your word. May Your Holy Spirit consume us. Fan the flame so that nothing worldly or selfish remains in us. We ask for purity in You. We need You every second of every hour of every day. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
