Listen and Do

Father God,
We ask today that You be with us as we look at Your word. Help us to be attentive to what You are saying. May our spiritual eyes be opened. Enable us to be doers of the word and not hearers only. We ask that Your words come alive in us. Mold us and make us into usable vessels to carry the Good News to all that You have placed in our paths. May we fully embrace the truths of Your word. We ask that You place these truths deep in our hearts and minds. We want our life to be molded by the truth of Your word. For You alone are our help, hope and strength. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

³¹ And they come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them; for they do the lustful desires expressed by their mouth, and their heart follows their unlawful gain. ³² And behold, you are to them like a love song by one who has a beautiful voice and plays well on an instrument; for they hear your words but they do not practice them.
