Giving

The desire of the slothful kills him,
for his hands refuse to labor.
26 He covets greedily all the day long,
but the righteous gives and does not spare.

Proverbs 21:25-26 MEV

He who has a generous eye will be blessed,
For he gives of his bread to the poor.

Proverbs 22:9 NKJV

It is wonderful time of the year to give to others. Remember the main reason we give is to show the love of God to others. There are many ways that we can give to others. It doesn’t always have to be financially; we can give gifts of time and service also. There are many ways to give. Always do it cheerfully and willingly not because we have to but because we want to.

Pray with me please.

Father God,
Thank You so much for the love that You give freely. You are awesome and amazing. We adore You. Help us all to love others with Your love. Open our eyes to see the ways that we can give to others. Maybe there is a talent we can share, baking breads, making cakes, building a toy plane with someone or the gift of time by visiting the elderly, sick or shut ins. There are many opportunities to be a blessing to others. We ask that You place others in our path that You wish to minister to through us. We have given You our hearts and now we want to be servants of the most-high God and have Your purposes come to fruition in our submitted lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

      1. It is wonderful, {{{Donna}}} – not over yet. Today, after church, my job is to do one more load of laundry, pack for our trip, and then go over to one of our dear neighbor’s for dinner. We hope to leave for CA in the morning – driving for two days and praying for safe roads up & over Donner Summit on Tuesday. Your prayers for safe travel are greatly appreciated.

Lord, we thank You for another opportunity to come before Your precious throne, Thank You so much for Your hand of protection that You are going to place over Jan and Bob. Thank You for Your guidance, hope and strength. Lord, time after time You have proven Yourself to be our protector. We just want to thank You. Oh, how we bask in Your presence. Keep my beautiful friend and sister in You safe from any and all harm. Give her a peace filled and joyous time with her family and friends. May she come back glowing ready to share wondrous stories and filled with Your precious Spirit. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
