Jesus said in Matthew 4:17 that we must repent (turn from our sins). The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). We believe on Him, so we repent of our sins and ask Him to come into our heart and be our Lord and Savior (Romans 10:13 & Revelation 3:20). If we have done that, it is, then through our faith in God’s great grace (what He has already done on the cross) that saves our souls. That is our foundation. He is the very beginning that we all start our Christian walk with. There is no other name whereby men can be saved than that of Jesus (Acts 4:12). Anyone preaching or teaching any other way to God is teaching or preaching what is false. There is no other way. Jesus said He is the Way the Truth and the Life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). That is the truth. The message is that God loves you so much that He sent His One and Only Son that if you would just believe on Him, you would not perish but live forever with Him. Now isn’t that great news?
The question now asked is, what will you do with that information? Have you already accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If you have then that is wonderful, and along with heaven I rejoice (Luke 15:7)! If you have heard the message before but still haven’t made that all important decision, please do so today while He is speaking to you. There is no greater decision that you will ever make. Walking with Jesus is the best thing you will ever do. He is awesome. Please, oh please, come to Him today.
We surrender to You. We believe that Jesus came to this earth to save us from our sins. We confess that there is no other way to You but through Him. We trust that what You have given us on the cross of calvary is enough. You have provided us with everything that we need. We accept Your will for our lives. We confess that Jesus is Lord. We thank You for coming into our heart and saving us from sin and death. You have given us new life. We want to walk fully in that life and deny the flesh. Help us to shine forth in this dark world. It is difficult sometimes and yes, we fail and fall but we thank You for the great love, compassion and mercy that You show. Thank You for the grace You give us. Thank You for lifting us up and placing our feet on Solid ground. May You receive all the glory through our surrendered lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
