Be the Salt

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

Matthew 5:13 NKJV

So Christians, by their lives and instructions, are to keep the world from entire moral corruption. By bringing down the blessing of God in answer to their prayers, and by their influence and example, they save the world from universal vice and crime.

Barne’s notes on the Bible
Pray with me please.

Father God,
Thank You so much for this day and every single thing You have blessed us with.
We can only be the salt in this world because of Your great grace. It is by Your strength, by Your love and by Your power that we will be able to live what we believe and point others to You. We ask that You do a mighty work in and through our submitted lives. We want to be salty for You. Please pour Your seasoning on us so that we can sprinkle the salt of Heaven on everyone we come into contact with. We want our lives to be full of Your flavor. We want Your great purpose to come to fruition for our lives. We never want to miss an opportunity to flavor the world around us with Your great love, grace and mercy.
Strengthen us, Lord, so that we would love the unlovable, forgive the unforgiveable and have mercy on those that others are truly uncompassionate for (the needy, poor, destitute. widows and orphans). Grant to Your children grace and wisdom. Help us to live what we believe. Embolden us to speak that which needs to be said and also to say it at the very right moment in which it needs to be said (Luke 12:12). Help others to be receptive to our words and actions.
We long for the day that we hear You say, “Well done, My beloved one.” It can be difficult to be the moral compass for this world, but we know that You can supply our every need (Philippians 4:19). We also know that You love to give us good gifts (Matthew 7:11). The gift we want the most is the ability to be the salt of the earth in the fullest implication as to how You meant it for us.
We love You so much. Be glorified in us. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

    1. Hello beautiful. Thanks for checking on me. I am well. Things are hopeful. Talked to an assistant pastor. He said to join the class he is having starting the 28th. He said everything he tells couples in counseling will be what he is teaching. So we joined that. God is good. I am leaving it in His hands.
How are you, sweet sister? Is there anything I can agree with you in prayer over?
      Sending hugs your way.

      1. That is fanastic news. This is going to be the best thing for the both of you. Both of you will see how to communicate with each other at a much higher level and in a good way.

God will get you both through this. I sense a testimony coming from all this sis.

I always appreciate the prayers. 🤗🤗🤗
