Meet Each Other with Love in Prayer

37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22:37-40 NLT

The Bible says that two are better than one, because if either of them fall down, one can help the other up. Two can keep each other warm. Two standing together can conquer. Three are even better, for a triple braided cord isn’t easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). We also read where Jesus sent His disciples out two by two (Mark 6:7 & Luke 10:1). In Deuteronomy 32:30 and Joshua 23:10 we read how one can put a thousand to flight and two can put 10,000 to flight for the Lord is the one who fights for us. There is power in numbers. When the first disciples were gathered together in prayer, it is when the Spirit of God fell on them, not when they were singing, speaking, eating or teaching but when they were in prayer (Acts 4:31).

Today I just want to reach out to each of you in love. Is there anything that you need prayer for? The church is hurting. Its people are scattered and all out in the world some by themselves and are facing some terrible persecutions, troubles and trials. I know I have need of prayer. I want you to know that you can come to me here in the comments or at my email luckd61@yahoo.com and I will pray with you. We can seek the Lord together over your situation. We need to love one another and a good way to show it is to spend time together in prayer.

Pray with me please.

Father God,
Thank You for Your love and tender mercies which are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Thank You for supplying us with Your love so that we can reach others. Help us to reach out in love to our brothers and sisters. Teach us to pray. We ask for Your blessed Holy Spirit to speak through us and to us. May we always be ready to lift one another up. Give us the right words at the right time to encourage and build one another up. We are a family, and we need one another. How refreshing it is to know that we are not alone. May we drop our reserves and do what You want us to do. Rise up in us, oh God of Israel’s armies, fight for us as Your word says. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

45 David shouted in reply, “You come to me with a sword and a spear, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of the armies of heaven and of Israel—the very God whom you have defied. 46 Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head; and then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! 47 And Israel will learn that the Lord does not depend on weapons to fulfill his plans—he works without regard to human means! He will give you to us!”

1 Samuel 17:45-47 TLB
