19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
Luke 22:19-20 NKJV
20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.”
Jesus gave His all for our sins. He wants us to remember His body and His blood that was shed. This is why we take communion. It is a time to reflect on Jesus’ great sacrifice. During this time of communion, we worship God, and we reflect on love and unity with other believers. Before we partake, we need to examine our heart, ask God to forgive us for any sin. We also shouldn’t take communion if a brother or sister in Christ has something against us. The word of God says before we bring even our gift to the altar, we are to go and be reconciled to them before we give our gift (Matthew 5:23-24). It is a very serious time. If you do not have a church home yet, you may take communion at home. Just get a small piece of bread and a tiny amount of juice and remember what Christ has done for you.
Father God,
We are so thankful for the immeasurable sacrifice the day that You gave Your one and only Son to pay a sin debt that He didn’t owe for a world of lost sinners. We remember Christ’s suffering for all of our sins. We ask You to help us to remember if there is anything that we may be thinking, saying or doing that is wrong so that we can repent. We ask You to bring to our remembrance if there is anyone who has anything against us, so that we can go to them and seek restitution. Thank You for this time to just come before You and remember. Stir up our hearts to do that which is right. Thank You for the love and mercy that You have shown us. Help us to deeply examine our hearts each and every time before we partake of our Lord’s communion. We ask that all who are reading may find a good Bible believing church to go to if they do not have one at this time. Continue to be with Your children and guide us in the path everlasting. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Amen. Prophecy class started up again. And Women’s Bible this week also. So grateful to God. Happy day!
