Blasphemy Against the Spirit of God leads to Eternal Separation from God

Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

Matthew 12:31-32 NKJV

The unforgivable sin is willfully rejecting the Holy Spirit’s testimony about Jesus. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father but by Him (John 14:6).

Pray with me please.

Father God,
Thank You so much for giving us so much wisdom in the pages of Your word. There are many people still in the world that have rejected the truth that has been shared with them by You through Your Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, some of them may even be loved ones of ours. No matter who those who are rejecting You are, we know that You have such great love for them. You have blessed this world and its people with the gift of everlasting life to all who would believe in Jesus (John 3:16). You have given opportunity after opportunity for others to accept Your free gift and for them to reject You, ugh what a very sad day for them, to have to spend eternity separate from You. That is so sad, that some will never know the full measure of Your love, to never taste of Your goodness, see Your mercy or experience Your faithfulness that only a relationship with You through the blood of Jesus will provide.
Today, we thank You for Your Holy Spirit living in us and searching our heart. Thank You for His helping, leading and guiding us. Thank You that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us when we don’t know what to say in prayer (Romans 8:26). Thank You for giving us the power to be witnesses of Yours through Your Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). Thank You for filling us with Your Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). Thank You for the ability to know who is truly of You and who isn’t (1 Corinthians 12:3). Thank You for knowledge (1 John 2:20). Thank You for the hope, joy and peace You give us by the power of Your Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). We could thank You all day for the many attributes of Yours and blessings You have given us. You are so worthy of our praise and adoration. Help us as we go about our day to stay in constant communion with You through Your Holy Spirit. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
