Cherished by the Father

As God’s church we need to be clothed in righteousness (definition of righteousness is the quality of being morally right).

Also we need to speak the truth in love to one another.

Ephesians 4:25 NASB Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

If we are to confront a brother or sister. We have to do it in meekness (gentleness, softness, patience).

Remember love covers a multitude of sin. (1 Peter 4:8 NASB)

Galatians 6:1 KJV Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

The following is an accurate, biblical description of love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NASB Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

God says in His word to let all be done in love. (1 Corinthians 16:14 NASB)

We have read in His word that love is: patient, kind, doesn’t envy, doesn’t envy, not proud, does not dishonor others, not self seeking, not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrong.

Ye which are spiritual…a characteristic of a spiritual state is humility.

The fruit of the Spirit is….Love, joy, peace,  forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

I would suggest that we check our responses accordingly. Are we walking in the Spirit? Is the fruit of the Spirit evident in our lives?

Let’s stop here and pray.

Oh most wonderful, gracious, loving, kind awesome and amazing Father, We, Your children, adore You, Lord. Thank You for Your word. You continue to provide for Your children in all ways. You supply all of our needs. Right now our need is to become more aware of anything that is not a characteristic of love in our lives. Please reveal it to us. Thank You, Lord, that You are faithful. We repent of any wrong thought or attitude.  We take captive every thought to make it obedient  to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Lord, let us walk in Your love. Let our lives exhibit the fruit of Your Spirit. Help us, Lord God, to be Your children in word and deed. For it is then and only then that we can approach any brother or sister that we see overtaken in a sin.  May we please honor You in ALL that we do or say. Let everything be done according to Your will for our lives. Bless Your holy name forever king Jesus. Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. In Your name we pray. Amen.

Listening for God

So many times our days can get clouded with worldly feelings. I mean you can’t turn on the news without something terrible going on. There is negativity, pride, sarcasm and disrespectfulness all around us. The list goes on and on.

I declare the time is now to put God first in our days and in our lives.  As we draw nearer to Him we set Him free to operate in our lives. God wants to help, guide, strengthen and protect us. In order to do that we need to stay in the perfect center of His will for our lives.

What is the center of His will? I believe we should get up every day and honor Him by praying. Just talking to Him. Maybe we could also read His word for direction.

It seems to me that we make time for the important things. We work, clothe ourselves, eat, maintain friendships…etc. Shouldn’t our relationship with God have precedence over everything else? It is then that our lives will fall into place. it is then that we will be hearing and doing what God’s will is for our lives.

Think about this, what if we didn’t work, eat, clothe ourselves, or maintain friendships…etc? How would our lives be? Things might start falling apart, right? Like losing our jobs, health, mind, friends…. You get the picture.

Let’s get back to the word, back to the heart of God. He desires and requires first place in our lives.

Matthew 6:31-34 KJV Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

The other things, well the Bible says, the Father knows we have need of such things. So what we do is put Him first. First in the morning when we rise, first on our thought process, first in our decision making and first in our relationships. He deserves to be first in all things.

Heavenly Father,

You see and know all. You know the intent and desires of our hearts. We pray that You would be first in our lives. Take Your rightful spot, Lord. We want to be aligned with Your will for our lives. How can we do that if we don’t know what it is. Draw us closer to You through Your word and Your sweet Holy Spirit. Breathe in and through us. We want to live our best lives ever by being in the perfect center of Your will. Oh God, we look in anticipation of the day when You call us home. We so want Your words to be , “Well done thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord ” (Matthew 25:23). You are good! We praise You and thank You for drawing us closer. We lift up Your Holy name, King Jesus. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done. Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Enough is Enough

We have been blinded for too long. We have allowed our flesh and satan to rule for too long. We have become complacent. Take a look at what God says in the book of Revelation 3:15-16 NASB I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I  wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.

God spoke some pretty serious words here. We need to think about our own souls. Have we become complacent? Let’s pray and ask the Father to first of all reveal it to us. Second we need to repent  of any lukewarm attitude we may have. Third let’s ask God to fill us fresh with His Holy Spirit, so that we can be on fire for Him. We need to be His church AWAKE, ALIVE and full of power from on high.

He is there watching and waiting. Waiting for his bride. We need to get cleaned up and ready.  Pray with me please.

Dearest heavenly Father,

Your name is great, holy and all-powerful. We pray for Your divine empowerment against the forces of evil trying to rise up in our lives with this complacency that You said in Your word that some of Your people would have. I ask You to reveal it to us, Lord. Open our hearts and minds to anything we need cleansing from. And because You are faithful Lord, I ask You to remove it from our lives, any spirit of complacency, and replace it with more of You in our lives. I pray for a hunger for more of You. I ask You for a desire in our souls to cleanse our hearts and purify our minds. Oh, Lord, let Your church be on fire for You.

We need to be winning the lost, loving the orphans, widows and homeless (Mark 16:15-16 & James 1:27). They will know we are Christians by our love. Let it be, Lord Jesus. Touch every one reading this with Your Holy Spirit.  Let the blinders that keep us from seeing the truth fall off in Jesus name. Let the chains that have held us prisoners for so long fall off Lord God. I pray for a great revival, a spiritual cleansing starting with us, Your people. We love You so much and want to be in the perfect center of Your will for our lives. Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. In Jesus name I pray.

Your children and no man can pluck us out of Your hand (John 10:28). We are safe in the Father’s arms. Amen.

Light The Way

Pray His word with me after every scripture and let Him light the way.

John 8:12 NASB Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

Light of the World light my way. Direct my path, show me the way, give grace to me. I lift my life up to You.

Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

Lord, I lift all of my ways up to You, I am hiding nothing please make my path the one You are directing.

Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

I pray that You would stop any unwholesome talk from coming out of my mouth. Lord, let my speech be helpful and uplifting to others.

Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you, and keep you; The Lord make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.

I ask You, Father, that I would remember that death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).  Please help me to pronounce blessings on people. Remind me to ask You to bless and keep them; for Your beautiful face to shine on them and be gracious to them. Help me to pray for Your peace.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

Teach me how to pray Your word. Help me to indeed hide Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You.

Psalm 119:11 KJV Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Your precious word is a lamp to my feet.

Psalm 119:105 NASB Your word is a lamp to my feet. And a light to my path.

Please continue to guide me.

Psalm 25:5 NASB Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.

You ARE the God of my salvation. Thank You Lord for Your great love. The cross…oh the cross.

Lord, I just honor You and I worship You. Thank You so much for everything, Heavenly Father. Your name is holy. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done. Forgive us, Lord, for all the times we have fallen. Let us forgive others as well. Help us to resist temptation, Lord. Whatever kind it is. Deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. (Luke 11:2-4) In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Toxicity

We have been complacent too long. Today is the day and now is the time. We need to remove anything that is harmful to us. If you notice a word, attitude or behavior that comes from your own personal self and it cannot stand before the Almighty, then get rid of it. The best way to get rid of it is by giving it to the Lord. No sense trying to hide it from Him. He knows EVERYTHING anyways. Just be open and honest with Him. Tell Him what it is. Then ask Him to forgive you. Lay that burden down at the Master’s feet. It is not ours to carry. Ask Him to help you remove it from your life.

Philippians 4:6 NASB Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

When satan throws it back up at you, you just tell him what Jesus did….”get behind me satan.”(Matthew 4:10) Let him know that whatever it was is nailed to the cross. (Colossians 2:14) Our sins are gone. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin.

1 John 1:9 NASB If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We aren’t meant to carry around negativity, self-doubt, betrayal, or resentment. These are all tools if the enemy to keep us from fulfilling the Lord’s call on our lives. Trust me, he will try and get us any way he can. Usually it is in our weakest times. He doesn’t care. He wants to attack us when we are most vulnerable.

That is why we need to stay prayed up, full of the Spirit, standing tall and strong with the provision of our armor from God.

Ephesians 6:11, 18 NASB Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.; With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints

It is time to grow up a little spiritually and discern that which is from the Lord and that which is from the enemy.

1 Peter 2:2 NASB like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation

Just ask yourself the following question if you are in doubt. Would I be able to stand in front of the Lord with this?

1 John 4:3 NASB and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.

If He doesn’t condemn you, then that is all that matters. Pretend like He is drawing in the sand as He was with the woman taken in adultery. He didn’t condone her behavior. He reached out in love….woman where are your accusers?….neither do I condemn you…Go and sin no more.

See John 8:1-11

If you agree with any of this please pray the following prayer with me.

Dearest heavenly Father,  let my thoughts be your thoughts, my ways be Your ways and my actions always be in alignment with Your will for my life. Lord, I want to honor You in all that I say or do. Reveal to me anything that has come between us Lord, anything that has tried to claim part of my life. I am completely sold out to You, Jesus. Everything about me is for You and created by You. I want to honor You with ALL of me. I praise You, thank You and adore You, Lord. I receive all that You have for me and claim Your power over anything in my life that raises itself up against You. I lay at Your feet any and all things. Use me to advance Your kingdom on this earth Lord. Here I am Lord send me. In Jesus name. Amen.

Make the Time Today

Galatians 6:10 NASB So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

How many opportunities do we have during our days to do good? Remember it is the little things that make a big difference. A smile could make the biggest difference in a person’s day. If they are down, your smile could be the best or even the turning point to their day.

Pray and ask the Lord to lead you to those who need a smile or perhaps even a word of encouragement. Don’t ever forget the great impact our words have on people. It was by the spoken word God set the world and all that is within it in existence. Everything that was or is, is here because He spoke the word. Genesis chapter 1 goes into full detail of how God created everything.

Isaiah 42:5 This is what God the LORD says- the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it

He can and will still use us to speak to each other.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Offer gifts of encouragement by speaking to others with the love of God. Let Him guide your tongue.

Psalm 141:3 Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.

He knows which children need to hear what word and He will supply it. The word comes from Him. Just be faithful and ready for Him to speak to your heart and say to you…Go, Say or Do. Then go, say or do what He says in His power and strength. Others will be blessed from Him  through you and your obedience.

Don’t give vain flattery to tickle peoples ears temporarily leaving them feeling better but search your heart, pray and give them something from the Lord.

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

He alone can heal. That He will do through us sometimes. Isn’t that exciting to be used by the Father in such a way?

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

All we have to do is be willing to sacrifice a little time. The time it takes to pray first of all for His direction. The time to go where He wants you to go. The time to say that which He wants you to. Today I wonder, do we have the time?

Love your sister in Christ,

Donna Marie

Father God,

You are so awesome. Your power is undeniable. You spoke and the world came into existence. There is no-one like You. Thank You for salvation and for the gift of Your Holy Spirit Who guides and directs us. I pray for a total anointing on your people. Please let our eyes be opened to the things that You want us to do or say. We are here and we are willing to go where You send us. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Little is Much in the Hands of the Lord

On my own, my strength is so small, but in His hands there are mountains I can tell to move (Luke 17:6).

On my own, I am so weak, but in His hands I have power to speak to giants in my life and they have to obey me in the name of Jesus (John 16:23-24).

On my own, I get so discouraged, but with Him I know there is nothing I cannot do (Philippians 4:13).

On my  own sometimes I feel so hurt, broken, alone and betrayed,  but with Him I feel loved and protected (Psalm 91).

On my own loneliness sets in, but with Him I experience peace and joy like nothing I have ever felt before (Romans 15:13).

On my own was a sad place to be until I saw His great love for me (John 3:16).

On my own was where I was until that blessed day when Jesus rescued me (acts 16:31).

Donna Marie

Isaiah 49:16 NKJV See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.

Father God,

You have given us so much. We cannot thank You enough for all the blessings that You have bestowed upon us. We are Your children and You love us with such an incredible love. Thank You that at one time we were on our own, but through Christ we are never alone and fully empowered by Your Holy Spirit to do great and mighty things for Your glory. We thank You for this and praise You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Walk the Walk

We have been given power from on high to do Gods will for our lives. We are in the Father’s hands. There should be no worry or fear about the way in which we are to walk. God himself is with us directing our path.

Proverbs 16:9 The mind of a man plans his way, But the  LORD  directs his steps.

Jesus said He would not leave us comfortless, but that He would pray the Father send the Comforter.

John 14: 16-19 NASB I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also”.

The way we are to walk is spelled out in His word, the holy Bible. Every direction that you may need is in His word.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is  inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness

We have to walk, dear friends, with the power of His word and by the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

The thing here is to walk. Think about it for a minute. We have all this power of God and His Holy Spirit but we choose to just stand still. If we don’t get up and get moving the word and the Spirit stand still with us. We need to get out and walk in the power and the strength of the Lord.

That is how we will reach the lost, hopeless, unloved, mistreated, prisoners, orphans and widows of this world. Matthew 25:36-40) By moving, stepping out in faith to fulfill the purpose and will of God in and through our lives. We have the power sure but are we exercising it?

Your sister in Christ,

Donna Marie

Pray with me please

Lord God,

You are most deserving of all praise. Please help us to get out in our families, communities and workplaces. To get out there with the message of hope, renewal and life that can only be found in You. People are lost and dying out in this world. We need to be bold so that we can witness to everyone and anyone that You would have come in our path. We are not ashamed Lord! God forbid. (Luke 9:26) Some just might be shy, please just help us with the power of Your Holy Spirit living in us. Let us be lights in this dark world. Thank You heavenly Father. You are so good to us, your children. We love You so much and pray  all these things in Jesus name. Amen.

We are instructed to bear one another’s burdens, (Galatians 6:2) so if there are any prayer requests feel free to leave them in the comment section. I would be honored to pray with you. If it is more private you can always contact me via email at luckd61@yahoo.com I check that every day. Blessings to you all, till we meet again, tomorrow, if the Lord is willing. Peace.

Beauty

1 Corinthians 15:41 NASB There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

Pray with me please,

Lord, I see the sunrise and it is so beautiful. My soul cannot help but cry out, You are holy! How magnificent, marvelous and wonderful are Your ways, O God.

I seek You in the morning. In the morning my heart cries out to You, Lord (Psalm 5:3). Then as I go about my day, I see such beauty. The sun as it unfolds upon this earth, revealing such a magnificent creation. Your creation, the very works of Your hands. You have done it all. You hold it all in place.

Thank You for another sunrise, Lord, and the promise of a new day that it brings. A day that we can choose to honor You in all that we do or say. A day to exalt You and proclaim Your great name and power to all the earth. In Jesus’ name we pray giving thanks for this day. Amen.

Letting Go and Letting God

I’m not going to lie here and say I have never been tempted to write a bunch of stuff on a social media post. I have deliberated a time or two on making my status about something that someone has said or done that has hurt me. I think it is human nature to want to be heard or vindicated, our feelings thereby validated.

But, thank God, the Lord has always quieted my heart and helped me to not go screaming my emotions all over social media. I do have to admit it is very tempting at times. The Lord Jesus is so good though. He takes those hurts that you want to shout out to the world and He heals us. All we ever have to do is raise it up to Him. Just ask Him for His help.

The time to seek the Lord is now! He cares about your hurt. He sees your pain, the injustice that has been done to you. And brother or sister, He alone can heal you. He is longing for a deeper relationship with His children. All we have to do is take that first step towards Him. Then He picks us up and sets our feet on solid ground.

There is no god like our God. He is the King of the universe, the Ruler over all. He created this world and all of His wonderful children in it. His love for us is from everlasting to everlasting. There is no measuring it. All we can do is receive His love. He doesn’t push it on us. We have the choice. If you choose God, you will be so happy, trust me. He  fills us in a way that only He can. Just like a father loves to give good gifts to his children, how much more He wants to give to us!

Matthew 7:11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,  how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

He loves us so much.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

You can trust His love. Here is a fact for you….There are a lot of  people out there in the world that you cannot trust. We know that. So, why share some of your most private information with people on a social media platform who know and care not a smidgen for you? Share your thoughts, hurts and injustices with God. Watch Him, as He cares for you, watch and see what He will do.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

 Dear Lord,

Thank You for Your great love and concern for me. You know me and love me for just being me. I don’t have to do anything to ‘earn’ Your love. You give it to me freely. All You want is  for us to reach out to You. Lord I am reaching out to You now. Please take this heart of mine that has been hurt and let Your healing begin.

Let me be more and more like You in all of my ways. Lord I want to make You happy with me. I need all of my ‘likes’ to be from You. I don’t care what the world thinks now Lord, I only want to please You with my thoughts and my behavior.

I leave all of this Lord Jesus at Your feet. Thank You Lord for all of the help that You alone give to us. Bless your holy name forever.

Your servant,

Donna Marie (Reader: Place your name here if you agree)
