Abominations (anything greatly disliked or abhorred) as listed in the Bible. Having sex with the same gender. (Leviticus 18:22 & Genesis 19) Cross-gender dressing. (Deuteronomy 22:5) Sodomy. (1 Kings 14:24) Continual telling of lies. (Proverbs 12:22) Man-made idols. (Deuteronomy 27:15) Idols in God’s temple. (Daniel 11:31) Justifying the wicked and condemning the righteous. Sin Separates

Also Paul wrote, ‘shall we sin then that grace abound? Heaven forbid!’ (Romans 6:1-2) Help us to be doers of Your word and not hearers only deceiving ourselves. (James 1:22)

Mercy

We have the supreme example of mercy. As we have been freely given this mercy may we learn to show mercy to everyone. (2 Corinthians 4:1)

God of All Comfort

So many times we try to tackle our feelings on our own. We either bury our feelings, refuse to acknowledge them or lie to ourselves that problems do not even exist. Listen, God made us to love and grieve.

Jesus Seekers

Help us to be friends with, not just each other, but with the hungry, widowed and orphans among us (James 1:27). In Jesus name.
